‍Querylab.io – Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Querylab.io (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.

Querylab.io is operated under the brand name “Querylab.io” (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

2. Description of the Service

Querylab.io is a web-based software tool designed to help users write, analyze, and manage SQL queries for Google BigQuery and related data services.

Querylab.io does not execute queries on its own infrastructure and does not control or manage your Google Cloud resources. All queries are executed within your own Google Cloud account under your credentials.

3. Usage Restrictions

You agree that you will not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service
  • Modify, copy, resell, sublicense, or exploit the Service except as expressly permitted
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, data, or networks
  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable laws or regulations
  • Violate any third-party terms, including Google Cloud, Google BigQuery, or Stripe policies

4. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • All activity performed through your account
  • The accuracy, legality, and impact of queries you run
  • Monitoring and controlling your Google Cloud usage and costs
  • Securing your credentials, tokens, and access keys

Querylab.io does not guarantee cost savings, accuracy of cost estimates, or prevention of unexpected charges.

5. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service, without notice, if:

  • These Terms are violated
  • Fraud, abuse, or misuse is detected
  • Required by law or third-party providers

Termination does not relieve you of any outstanding payment obligations.

6. Billing (Stripe)

Payments for Querylab.io subscriptions are processed by Stripe (“Stripe”), which acts as our payment processor.

Stripe handles:

  • Payment processing
  • Secure storage of payment information

By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Querylab.io does not store your full payment details.

7. Subscription Renewal

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You authorize recurring charges via Stripe until cancellation
  • Renewal confirmations and invoices are provided by Stripe
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

No partial refunds are provided unless required by law.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Querylab.io is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Lost profits
    • Lost data
    • Business interruption
    • Unexpected cloud costs

Cloud Cost Disclaimer

Querylab.io is not responsible for any costs incurred from queries executed using the Service, including but not limited to:

  • Google Cloud Platform data processing charges
  • Storage costs
  • API usage fees

All billing occurs directly between you and Google Cloud.

9. Third-Party Services Disclaimer

The Service depends on third-party platforms, including but not limited to:

  • Google Cloud Platform
  • Google BigQuery
  • Stripe

We disclaim all liability for:

  • Service outages
  • Data loss
  • Performance degradation
  • Pricing changes
  • Policy changes

caused by third-party services.

10. Security Disclaimer

While we implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards:

  • No system is completely secure
  • We do not guarantee protection against:
    • Unauthorized access
    • Hacking
    • Data breaches
    • Cybersecurity incidents

You acknowledge and accept all risks related to online data transmission and storage.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy
  • Availability
  • Non-infringement

Use of the Service is at your own risk.

12. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

Querylab.io is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC.

Google, Google BigQuery, and Google Cloud are trademarks of Google LLC.

14. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
